We're so excited and grateful that you're considering running the 2011 ING New York City marathon for African Leadership Foundation! Team ALF is proud to have been chosen one of 30+ Charity partners of the ING New York City Marathon, for the fourth consecutive year.

African Leadership Foundation seeks to support young leaders and entrepreneurs for Africa. This mission is primarily carried out by supporting the growth of African Leadership Academy (ALA). ALA is a Pan-African institution based on the outskirts of Johannesburg, South Africa that attracts the most outstanding 16-19 year olds from all over Africa and cultivates their leadership and entrepreneurial skills with the goal of empowering them to initiate positive change in their respective communities. As a Charity Partner, Africa Leadership Foundation can provide guaranteed marathon entries to 12 individuals who pledge to donate $3,000 or more to African Leadership Foundation. The fundraising team at ALF will support all marathon runners by providing exciting fundraising ideas and resources through which they can boost their fundraising efforts. ALA's greatest need is for financial support. There are various levels through which your fundraising can support the students at ALA:
